IBPS conducts CWE for recruitment to Specialist Officers Cadre Posts in 20 Public Sector institutions. This examination is among the last in the category of the examinations to be held by the IBPS and marks the end of the examination season for the Bank jobs Aspirants.
IBPS Specialist Officers Exam Pattern Details
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Online CWE for the recruitment of Specialist Officers in various fields like IT, Legal, Marketing, Agriculture, HR and Rashtrabhasha Adhikari in various Public Sector Banks. This Common Written Examination (CWE) for Specialist officers and Common interview is being conducted, once a year by IBPS. The Exam Details are as follows:
The structure of the Written Examination will be conducted in Online Mode as follows.
All the Tests will be in Objective Type and is printed in two languages, except for English Paper.
The Specialist Officers Common Written Examination consists of 200 Objective Type Questions, each question carries one mark totally 200 marks and the time duration is 120 minutes.

Negative Marking: The negative marking is applicable in the Objective Tests. Every wrong answer deducts 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question as a penalty. In case no answer is given by the candidate, no penalty for that question is applicable.
Cutoff Score: In the Examination, the same goes as with the case of other examination by IBPS. The candidates need to secure a minimum score in each section and also on total, in order to be called for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview and the corrected scores obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

Thinking about eligibility for this exam For posts other than IT Officer Scale I and Scale II, the candidates must possess Certificate, or Diploma, or Degree in computer operations, Language and should have studied Computer Information Technology as one of the subjects in the institutions either in 10th or 12th or at upper education.

Tips on English
One of the most scoring sections in IBPS Specialist Officers Exam 2015 is the English Language but also require a good command over English grammar and language. To score good marks in the English Language, the candidates are required to strengthen their vocabulary as well as grammatical concepts. Questions based on Passage, Antonyms, and Synonyms, Common Error in Sentence, Rapid Fillers, Close Test, etc are considered as the integral part of the section.

For Quantitative Aptitude, the candidates should have knowledge of all required basic concepts and nothing else. During solving this section, speed is another foremost requirement for the section. The next online CWE for selection of Specialists Officers in the Participating Organizations is tentatively scheduled in February 2015 and candidates are advised to prepare at the best level to succeed in the examination.
