Well Guys another good news to all aspirants, Union Public Service Commission has invited applications for written examination of Special Posts like Stenographer, Section Officer ,Group- A and B posts in Delhi. The special posts are to be filled up by conducting the exam is conducted to shortlist in various categories.
Since the concerned cadre vacancies is not finalized the number of positions are not yet in figures.

Various posts which are in the list are…..

(a) Section Officers Grade of the Central Secretariat Service.—— Category I
(b) Sections Officers Grade ( Integrated Grade II & III) of the General Cadre of the Indian Foreign Service in Branch B……. Category II
(c) Section Officers Grade of the Railway Board Secretariat Service…..Category III.
(d) Private Secretary Grade of the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service…………..Category IV
(e) Grade I of the Stenographers Cadre of the Indian Foreign Service in Branch B………..Category V
(f) Grade A and B merged of the Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service…………. Category VI
(g) Grade B of the Railway Board Secretariat Stenographer’s Service ……Category VII
(h) Section Officers Grade of the Intelligence Bureau …..Category VIII.
(i) Private Secretary Grade in Employees State Insurance Corporation ………….Category IX

Eligibility Criteria

Well The Eligibility criteria is as follows…the candidate who apply must have minimum educational qualification of a Graduate masters degree in related subject from any Recognized University

Paper Types and Selection

The UPSC selection is based on the performance of the candidate in the written examination which includes Paper I …which consists of objectives of 150 marks which is to be do in 2 hrs and a total of 150 marks will be awarded for such. The paper consists of general studies and general knowledge about Constitution of India and Government Machinery ,Procedures and Practices in Parliament . Another added advantage is Knowledge of 2005 RTI Act.

And The next Paper II Consists of Objective type Paper with a total of 150 marks for 150 marks for a duration of 02 hours. The paper examines Procedure and Practice in the Government of the India Secretariat and attached offices and General Financial and Service Rules duly taking into account the requirement of relevant categories of services.

Final paper III is a subjective type paper with a total of 200 marks for duration of 3 hours which examines noting and drafting , Precis writing.

Method of applying

The Eligible applicants must visit the Union Public Service Commission website and apply online. The registration must submit the applications duly filled before 20th October.

Dates to remember

The last date for submitting online applications is October 20 th , 2014
The last date for receipt of printed applications is October 31 st , 2014
The date of written examination is 27th December , 2014

Well guys another point to note, please make sure that one getting prepared for UPSC by going through all books is not enough, one should get in touch with daily newspapers and electronic media also.
